Friday, June 27, the Feast of The Sacred Heart, was a day of celebration for our Residents. An important Feast Day in the liturgical calendar and the Feast Day of our Home, Sacred Heart Residence, deserved special recognition and activities. The Activities Department went out of their way to mark the day for our Residents with a “Sacred Heart Fair” full of fun and fellowship. The Residents participated in old-style county fair games such as ring toss, bowling, balloon – busting, and a rousing game of musical chairs. Not to be left behind by modern technology, the Residents lined up to show off their Wii-playing skills on the giant screen. Volunteers joined in the festivities and cotton candy, popcorn and other treats were shared by all. Thank you to all who participated in making our Feast Day such a fun and special day for those who call Sacred Heart Residence home.
