Dear Friends,
Each year at our Sacred Heart Residence is a special year. So many wonderful moments are shared with friends and families, Residents and the Little Sisters, our staff and volunteers; we thought we would give you a flavor of those times in pictures.
From Mardi Gras, Easter Egg Hunts, Jubilee Celebrations for Monsignor Murphy (70 years) Archbishop Emeritus Lipscomb (60 years) and Monsignor Cunningham (60 years), and 101st birthday parties for Delores Willcox and Sarah Wilder to Blisters for Sisters, Christmas in July, Maria Mondello’s entering the Little Sisters, and the Rock-a-thon, we have surely been blessed! We hope you enjoy just a few of those moments in our slide show! Oh…and, the 45th Annual Lawn Party was a great success!
2017 will bring more special moments, and we look forward to the opportunities to serve. With your support, we hope to make life easier for our Residents, while being good stewards of your support. We have already begun!
Thanks to the Knights of Columbus, Council #666, we have a great start on one of our first priorities, a refrigerated van which will be used by our begging Sisters along the Gulf Coast and points north. Our old van is on its last legs. Over the past years, we have been unable to accept many donations, because of lack of refrigeration. A new, properly equipped vehicle will cost approximately $60,000. The Knights have already donated $15,000 to get us started. Please prayerfully consider adding to this amount to help us reach our goal!
