Mobile is known for being hot and humid. It can make summers close to unbearable, but there are a few perks to living in this climate. In spring, we can grow pretty much whatever we want. The Activities department wanted to start a garden, and two of our Residents, George Smith and Nell Howard, decided to grow tomatoes. Much to our Residents’ delight, the tomatoes are now coming in. Unfortunately, Mr. Smith passed away before the tomatoes were picked. However, we know he is looking down and happy at how everything turned out.
